Dor Shachar

Dor Shachar, formerly Ayman Abu Soobuch, was born in 1977 in Khan Yunis, Gaza, into a Palestinian Muslim family. Immersed in an environment of intense anti-Jewish sentiment and growing up near prominent militant figures, his early life was shaped by a narrative of conflict. However, a profound spiritual awakening in his youth revealed his true identity as a Jewish soul."From Gaza to Tel Aviv" is his raw, unflinching true story of a perilous journey to embrace his identity. From the brutal realities of Khan Yunis, enduring torture in Palestinian prisons, to navigating suspicion and hardship in Israel, Ayman, now Dor Shachar, never wavered. His is a powerful testament to one man's courage to choose love over hate, light over darkness, and life over death. This is not just a memoir; it's an extraordinary account of faith, resilience, and the miracles found on a path less traveled, inspiring hope for a new dawn.
